Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: December 18, 2025


Welcome to RAGS Cooking Camp ("Camp," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our website and participation in our cooking camp programs located in California. By accessing our website or enrolling a participant in our camp, you agree to be bound by these Terms.


1. Eligibility and Enrollment

  • Our cooking camp is designed for teen participants entering 9th-11th grades (ages 14–17] ("Participant").
  • Enrollment must be completed by a parent or legal guardian ("Parent") through our website, authorized registration platform or electronic forms.
  • By enrolling a Participant, the Parent represents and warrants that they have legal authority to do so and agree to these Terms on behalf of themselves and the Participant.
  • These Terms are intended for review by Parents and govern both website use and in-person camp participation.


2. Camp Programs and Activities

  • The camp provides hands-on cooking instruction, food preparation, and related recreational activities.
  • Activities may involve the use of kitchen equipment, utensils, heat sources, and food ingredients.
  • Program schedules, menus, instructors, and activities are subject to change without prior notice.


3. Health, Allergies, and Dietary Restrictions

  • Participants (or parents/guardians) must disclose all known food allergies, dietary restrictions, and relevant medical conditions at the time of registration.
  • While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
  • Participants attend and consume food at their own risk.


4. Assumption of Risk

Cooking and kitchen activities involve inherent and unavoidable risks, including but not limited to burns from heat or hot surfaces, cuts from knives or tools, slips or falls, allergic reactions, choking, and foodborne illness. The Parent and Participant understand that these risks cannot be eliminated even with reasonable supervision and safety measures.

By enrolling the Participant, the Parent knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks associated with camp participation, whether foreseen or unforeseen, inherent or incidental.


5. Release, Waiver, and Indemnification (California)

To the fullest extent permitted by California law, the Parent, on behalf of themselves and the Participant, hereby releases, waives, discharges, and holds harmless RAGS Cooking Camp, its owners, camp facilities, affiliates, sponsors, directors, officers, employees, instructors, contractors, agents, and volunteers (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in the camp or use of camp facilities, including claims arising from ordinary negligence, except to the extent caused by gross negligence or willful misconduct.


The Parent further agrees to indemnify and defend the Released Parties against any claims brought by or on behalf of the Participant or any third party arising from the Participant’s actions or participation in the camp.


This release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted under California law and shall remain in effect for the duration of the Participant’s enrollment.


6. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to:

  • Follow instructor and staff directions at all times
  • Use equipment safely and appropriately
  • Treat staff and fellow participants with respect

We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. No refunds will be issued for removals due to misconduct. No exceptions.


7. Fees, Payments, and Cancellations

  • All fees are listed on our website and are subject to change.
  • Full payment is required upon submission of the completed registration and camper packet. No later than Monday, June 1, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PST unless otherwise stated.


  • Cancellation Policy:
    • Cancellations can be made by the early registration deadline (11:59 p.m. PST) may receive an 80% refund.
    • Cancellation can be made by the Monday, June 8, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PST may receive a 50% refund.
    • No refunds will be issued within one week of the camp start date, nor for missed days, and early withdrawal. NO EXCEPTIONS.


  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to low enrollment, illness, or circumstances beyond our control.


8. Intellectual Property

All website content, recipes, materials, videos, and logos are the property of RAGS Cooking Camp and may not be copied, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without written permission.


9. Photography and Media Release

Unless the Parent opts out in writing prior to the start of the session, the Parent grants RAGS Cooking Camp permission to photograph or record the Participant during camp activities. These images or recordings may be used for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes (including on our website and social media) without compensation.


10. Website Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the website for unlawful purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Upload or transmit malicious code


We reserve the right to restrict or terminate website access for violations of these Terms.


11. Privacy

Your use of our website is also governed by our Privacy Policy [insert link], which explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information in accordance with California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), where applicable.


12. Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California.


13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.


14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the website or participation in the camp constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
